Thanks you all for the wonderful comments! I glad you all enjoyed the article, particularly you Shannon. The note you sent yourself is beautiful and perfectly captures that element I love so much your books. And frankly I'm tickled that you added the element of worship so deliberately. I'm well known for reading between the lines and coming up with odd ideas, but at least this time I'm not so far off base! I'm sure you hear this a lot, but I am very excited for Dark Halo and can't wait to see where Brielle's journey goes next. Thanks!

Oh Emma! We are soul sisters, you and I! Thank you for your kind words and for your beautifully written post. During this tour, Karielle over at Books a la Mode asked me about my goals as an author and I, initially, struggled with answering her simple question. But, I remembered something. A while back, after a hiccup in my journey, I sent an email to myself. This is what it said: I want readers to close my books feeling like they just experienced a really great worship service. That means some will be uncomfortable and I have to be okay with that. But I hope others will be reminded of the light and life that is our Savior. And in those cases, all the glory goes to my Creator and King. My words are His anyway. To answer Karielle's question, I copied down these words knowing full well that some may never understand me. But, I think you do. And I am so very glad. Thank you, Emma. God bless.

Outstanding post, Emma. I want to make sure Shannon sees this. I think she'll be thrilled at the idea that the novels induced a response to God! I like the line that Laure commented on, too. Great way to measure a book! Becky

Brilliant thoughts on mystery. I, too, accept that there are things I can't understand in the Bible...I love how you made that idea work together with the Angel Eyes series.
